Ministers of God have been urged to be wise managers of people (sheeps) God committed to their folds, church projects and finance.

The DCC Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Yaba Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Pastor S.E.A. Oludare stated this at the recently held Maiden Refresher Course for District Superintendents organized by CAC Akinyele Region.

He noted that many ministers see themselves as mere Pastors and Evangelists who are only concerned about spiritual things. Little do they know that they are expected to be (wise) managers of the Lord's house, the Lord’s men and the Lord's Finance.

While quoting Luke 12:42-48, Pastor Oludare said that the duties of a wise manager are to be in charge, manage men (servant) manage the house (church), pay food allowance (money), manage time and work without supervision.

He added that "all ministers must be trained, God does not compromise his stand about training. Moses was trained for 80 years for the work of 40 years. Jesus was trained for 30 years for a work of three-and-half years. Even Paul was trained."

Picking few managerial attributes from the life of Moses, Pastor Oludare said ministers must have the experience (undergoing practical tutelage "Tuule"), communicate well, be good organisers, manage time, delegate duties, be confident, be reliable, accountable and must have love and respect for employees.

According to him, many people come to church because of the Pastor and they expect the Pastor to use the money donated to carry out projects with the cooperation of the Elders or Church council.
