The Zonal Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) City of Joy (Aafin Iyanu), Prophet Amos Oluwafemi, has charged believers to strive to receive the key to life and ensure that the suffering of Jesus Christ does not go in vain in their lives.
He gave the charge on Wednesday, September 16, at the grand finale of the September 2026 edition of Alasepe, a quarterly programme of CAC City of Joy (Aafin Iyanu), where he emphasized the need for believers to embrace a new life in Christ.
Speaking on the subject of receiving the key to life, Prophet Oluwafemi stated that God was not concerned with the past but with giving people a new life.
He added that every other benefit would be added to those who seek Him.
Drawing from Philippians 2:6-8, Prophet Oluwafemi analysed the suffering and scourging of Jesus Christ, challenging the congregation to reflect on the significance of His sacrifice and asking whether His suffering would go in vain in their lives.
He explained that although God does not behold sin, He desires to reconcile humanity to Himself.
He noted that Christ took upon Himself the sins of mankind to make reconciliation possible.
Prophet Oluwafemi also referenced Psalm 49:8, emphasizing the preciousness of redemption and the significance of Christ’s sacrifice for humanity.
He subsequently led the congregation in prayers, asking God that the suffering of Jesus Christ would not go in vain in their lives.
The September edition of Alasepe, which commenced on August 31, also featured the ministration of Prophet Abraham Ayanfe, while attendees shared testimonies of God’s miracles in their lives.
Alasepe is a quarterly programme of CAC City of Joy, with previous editions held in January, March and June 2026. The next edition is scheduled to hold in December.
The programme, which began as a special meeting following divine instruction received by Prophet Oluwafemi on June 1, 1992, started while he was serving at CAC Oke Ibukun, Oke Ado, Ososami.
Following another divine instruction to establish a church, Prophet Oluwafemi relocated in February 2004 to plant what is now CAC City of Joy (Aafin Iyanu) Zonal Headquarters. The first edition of Alasepe at the church was held in March 2004. Over the years, the program has been a tremendous blessing to lives, with numerous testimonies recorded.
