General Evangelist, CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji
By Boluwatife Oparinde
The
General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas,
Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, has charged ministers of God to return to the
power and efficacy of the Word of God, describing the Bible as the
believer's greatest spiritual weapon in the battles of life and
ministry.
Prophet
Hezekiah gave the charge on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, while delivering a
sermon titled "The Bible: The Spiritual Weapon of War" at the opening
session of the 2026 Evangelists, Planters, Prophets and Prophetesses
International Conference (EPIC) of Christ Apostolic Church, ongoing at
the CAC Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji,
Osun State.
Speaking
on the conference theme, "The Bible: Prophetic Truth," and drawing his
text from Ephesians 6:10 and related passages, the cleric lamented that
many believers and ministers have become overly dependent on human
abilities and fleshly efforts, thereby failing to recognise the
tremendous power embedded in the Word of God.
"Because most of us have become carnal and do ministry with our flesh, we do not realise the efficacy of God's Word," he said.
Describing
the Bible as “the sword of the Spirit,” Prophet Oladeji noted that the
work accomplished by God’s Word goes beyond human comprehension.
According to him, the Word of God possesses penetrating power that
reaches the deepest parts of human existence, piercing even "the bones
and marrow" and bringing transformation to lives.
He
further emphasized that the power of God's Word destroys the yokes of
hell in the minds of men and pulls down strongholds that oppose the
purposes of God. He warned that the increasing fear and spiritual
weakness experienced by many believers today can be traced to a shallow
engagement with Scripture.
“The cause of our fear today is that we are not deep in the power of the Word of God,” he declared.
The
General Evangelist also stressed the foundational place of Scripture in
prophetic ministry, stating that every genuine manifestation of
prophetic gifts is preceded by the Word of God. He explained that the
Word serves as a lamp that illuminates the path of God’s children while
simultaneously exposing the activities of the enemy.
Prophet
Hezekiah encouraged participants to cultivate a deeper relationship
with the Scriptures, noting that God’s Word empowers believers to
overcome trials and temptations. He affirmed that the Word of God has
the capacity to swallow temptations, conquer spiritual battles, and
destroy the strongholds and cities of the enemy.
Highlighting
the realities of prophetic ministry, he observed that true prophets are
often identified through the intense spiritual battles they encounter
and overcome through the power of God.
The message challenged conference participants to renew their commitment to studying, obeying, and proclaiming the Scriptures as the sure foundation for victorious Christian living and effective ministry. The conference continues with Evangelists, Prophets, Prophetesses, and Planters from various parts of Nigeria and Overseas gathering to seek divine direction and spiritual empowerment under the theme, "The Bible: Prophetic Truth."
