It was a moment of joy, celebration, reunion, and appreciation as members of Christ Apostolic Church Oke Iye DCC in Sophia Ajayi Region warmly welcomed Pastor Stephen Ajayi, PhD, and his wife back to Ado-Ekiti for a grand send-forth service.
Delivering a sermon titled “Kingdom of Heaven,” Pastor Ajayi declared that the challenges and circumstances confronting the present world require total commitment and steadfast determination from Christians to make heaven.
According to the cleric, the only enduring joy is found in heaven, which he described as the ultimate place of eternal reunion where saints shall meet and part no more.
He urged Christians to remain heavenly focused and to look beyond the temporary pleasures of the world, just as the eagle sees farther than other birds.
Pastor Ajayi also admonished the congregation to remain courageous, prayerful, and devoted to God and His Word. He encouraged believers to prepare diligently like the wise virgins in anticipation of the imminent second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In his remarks, the incumbent DCC Superintendent of Oke Iye DCC, Pastor E. O. Ojoborun, commended Pastor Ajayi for his impactful and productive ministry during his tenure. He assured him of continuity in the work and urged him to keep the banner of Christ flying high in his new station.
The occasion attracted all District Superintendents, several pastors, evangelists, and members of Oke Iye DCC.
Also in Pastor Ajayi’s entourage were some District Superintendents from Christ Apostolic Church Igando DCC, including Pastor A. I. Adetutu, Pastor J. O. Babatunde, Pastor Olorunsina, and Pastor Agboola. Others present included the DCC Secretary, Pastor Olabayo, elders, and a few members, alongside Pastor Ajayi’s family, including Pastor Ajayi (Jnr.), PhD.
