‎CAC Obanla District inaugurated as Oluwafemi Ojo inducted pioneer Superintendent

‎By Pastor Oni Ayodeji

‎The Authority of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, on May 17, 2026, officially inaugurated the CAC Obanla District and inducted Pastor Oluwafemi Ojo as the pioneer District Superintendent.

‎The Obanla District, located in Ijesha Isu, Ekiti State, operates under the Boluwatife Zone, with Pastor Onayesebu serving as the Zonal Superintendent. He represented the church authority and presided over the inauguration and induction ceremony.

‎The event attracted a large gathering of pastors, church members, traditional rulers, title chiefs, and guests from within and outside Nigeria. The occasion marked a significant milestone in the growth and leadership development of the church within the zone.

‎The Royal Father of the Day, His Royal Majesty, Oba D.O. Atije, the Obanla of Ijesha Isu Ekiti and Grand Patron of the Obanla District, graced the event alongside his queen and other dignitaries, adding royal splendour and cultural significance to the ceremony.

‎Delivering the sermon, Pastor Onayesebu preached on the theme, “Evangelism in the Church Today.” He urged Christians to return to active soul-winning and steadfast evangelism, emphasizing that the Church must never abandon its primary mission.

‎Preaching from Mark 3:14–15, he explained that Jesus first called His disciples to be with Him before sending them out to preach. According to him, this demonstrates that effective ministry begins with intimacy and fellowship with God, as no one can truly represent Christ without first learning from Him.

‎He further stated that the disciples were not only called to follow Jesus but were also empowered to preach with divine authority. Evangelism, he noted, is not rooted in human wisdom or personal strength, but in divine calling and a genuine spiritual relationship with God.

‎Pastor Onayesebu lamented that many believers in today’s Church are becoming less committed to soul-winning due to distractions, personal challenges, and changing societal values. He stressed that the Church remains a “soul-winning institution,” warning that once evangelism is neglected, the Church gradually loses its purpose and identity.

‎He therefore charged ministers and members alike to return to the original mandate of Christ, reminding them that every believer has a responsibility to preach the gospel through both words and godly conduct. He encouraged Christians to embrace evangelism as a daily lifestyle rather than merely a church activity.

‎The cleric also emphasized the importance of discipline, prayer, and dependence on the Holy Spirit in evangelism, noting that without spiritual power, preaching becomes empty words incapable of transforming lives.

‎Following the sermon, Pastor Oluwafemi Ojo was officially inducted as the pioneer Superintendent of the Obanla District under the Boluwatife Zone.

‎In his response, Pastor Ojo expressed gratitude to God for His grace and faithfulness upon his life and ministry. He also appreciated his wife for her unwavering support, prayers, and encouragement during difficult moments, describing her as a strong pillar behind his journey.

‎He further thanked ministers, church members, and guests who attended the inauguration, including those who travelled from different parts of Nigeria and abroad, with special recognition given to a guest from the United Kingdom.

‎The event concluded with prayers, thanksgiving, and renewed commitment to evangelism and the spiritual growth of the Obanla District.
