‎The Pearce Regional Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Pearce Region, Pastor S.O. Aluko, has urged Sunday School teachers to allow the Word of God continually shape their lives for greater impact in ministry and society.

‎The charge was delivered during the 49th edition of the Decentralised Sunday School Rally, which commenced on April 8 at the Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp. The annual event, organised by the Directorate of Christian Education, convened teachers from various assemblies, zones, and regions across the South-West bloc of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC).

‎Centred on the theme “Saved, Shaped and Sent by the Scripture,” with its anchor text taken from 2 Timothy 3:16–17, the gathering emphasised the transformative power of God’s Word in the life of believers and educators.

‎Delivering the keynote address titled “Formed by the Word to Teach the Word,” Pastor Aluko highlighted that God’s actions are always purposeful and result-driven. He explained that every word from God—whether spoken or written—is divinely inspired and released to accomplish a definite purpose.

‎He further stressed that nothing exists without first being conceived, noting that humanity itself originated from God’s intentional thoughts.

Drawing from Jeremiah 29:11, he reminded participants that every individual was first established in God’s mind before being brought into existence through His Word.

‎Pastor Aluko underscored the enduring and unchanging nature of God’s Word, describing it as the same powerful force that created the world and remains effective today.

He commended the Sunday School department for its role in encouraging believers to consistently study and declare the Word.

‎According to him, every person is a product of God’s Word, and that same Word holds the power to continually transform and reform lives.

‎He emphasised that spiritual growth and development can only be sustained through consistent engagement with Scripture.

‎Citing biblical figures such as Ezra, Nehemiah, and Timothy, he illustrated how lives are shaped and distinguished through devotion to God’s Word. He noted that these individuals became impactful because they were deeply formed by Scripture.

‎In his closing remarks, Pastor Aluko charged Sunday School teachers to recognise their responsibility as vessels shaped by the Word to influence others.

He added that such formation is an ongoing process that requires humility and total submission to God.
