The Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Amuwo-Odofin Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos, Pastor M.K. Ehinmode has encouraged believers to pursue spiritual and personal development in every area of life.
Preaching from Proverbs 4:7, the pastor emphasized that growth is a sign of life, and stagnation can lead to decline.
Pastor Ehinmode made this statement while ministering this morning on the topic, “Growing in God’s Wisdom,” at the Honorary Pastoral Ordination Training Programme of the Christ Apostolic Church, held in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
“Growth is part of life. The moment you stop growing, you stop living and begin dying,” Pastor Ehinmode said. He urged Christians, especially leaders, to cultivate godly wisdom as a priority in their spiritual journey.
Citing 2 Peter 3:18, the pastor reminded the congregation that “everything and everybody needs godly wisdom.” While success can be achieved without wisdom, he said, lasting influence and fulfillment come only through insight guided by God’s principles.
According to Pastor Ehinmode, wisdom is more than knowledge; it is the ability to see life from God’s perspective, gain insight into reality, and apply understanding in ways that honor God. He also referenced Proverbs 8:11, noting that wisdom is more valuable than all earthly wealth.
“Wisdom makes difficult things simple, guides you to do the right thing, brings honor, multiplies resources, leads to greatness, and guarantees success,” he said. He also quoted renowned pastor Baba Oyedepo, who described wisdom as using God’s methods and approaches to resolve challenges.
The sermon concluded with a call to action for believers to actively pursue wisdom through prayer, the study of God’s Word, and alignment with divine principles.
