CAC Temidire Onajimi Welcomes New DCC Superintendent with Call for Unity

Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Temidire Onajimi DCC held a grand welcome service for its new DCC Superintendent, Pastor F.F. Daramola, Ph.D, on Saturday, January 11th, at the DCC Headquarters in Lagos.

The service was more than just a welcome service for the new DCC Superintendent; it was also a joyous homecoming for Pastor Daramola, who had previously served in the church as a young minister before being transferred by church authorities.

In his exhortation titled "Let us work together as a team," Pastor Daramola stressed the importance of unity for the church's growth.

"Unity is possible with teamwork; it is with teamwork we can achieve unity. God's work is teamwork," he noted.

Citing the example of Nehemiah's effort in building the wall in Nehemiah 3:1-4, Pastor Daramola attributed the speed in the completion of the wall to Nehemiah's motivation and the people's teamwork.

"Nehemiah motivated the people to work as a team towards the building of the temple wall. The work was completed in fifty two days," he stated.

"If you desire unity in your home and other aspects of your life, how much more the house of God," he added.

Pastor Daramola explained that leadership should foster teamwork, saying, "There is no 'I am a boss' in ministry; rather leadership makes ministry thrive."

He also cited God and Apostle Paul as exemplary models of teamwork, highlighting their approaches to ministry.

"God works as a team - He is trinity and trinity is a team. God functions as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This does not make Him three but one God functioning in three aspects," he said.

"Jesus worked as a team - he used different kinds of people from different backgrounds to proclaim His word. Paul worked as a team - He had almost forty people in His team." He added.

Urging members to work together, Pastor Daramola said, "Let's work together as a team - be participators not spectators; be encouragers not discouragers."

He emphasized the need for humility and unity, saying,

"To be a formidable team, you must be humble. The team is more important than any individual. Be gentle, be patient, keep unity of the spirit."

Pastor Daramola expressed confidence noting that God will do His work in the DCC when members work together.

"God will do His work in this DCC when we work together. God is looking for a man or a woman willing to step forward and say God use me for the progress of Your work," he said.

The service was well attended by members and ministers both from Oshodi Zone, where he was transferred as well as Temidire Onajimi DCC.
