CACYOF Ibadan Centre holds transformative 2025 Executive Leaders’ Boot Camp




The Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship (CACYOF), Ibadan Centre, has successfully concluded its 2025 Executive Leaders’ Boot Camp, a two-day intensive retreat aimed at strengthening leadership capacity and deepening spiritual commitment among its executives.

The programme was held from Friday, December 5 to Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the tranquil Alpha Mission Prayer Garden, Koroboto Village, Off Ajia Road, Ibadan.

The retreat gathered the Ibadan Centre Executive members under the leadership of the Centre Coordinator, Pastor S. O. Okeowo, the Assistant Coordinator, Pastor M. O. Olayera, and the Centre Secretary, Pastor Ayobami Ojo. Planning and coordination were handled by a dedicated six-member committee comprising Evangelist Sam Oluwatosin (Chairman), Pastor A. A. Daniels (Secretary), Pastor Oluwatobi Odedina, Evangelist Mrs. Babalola C. O., Mrs. Motunrayo Ajibola, and Sister Modupe Adebisi.

The Boot Camp featured lectures, worship sessions, prayers, and strategic discussions, all designed to equip leaders spiritually, mentally, and administratively for the year ahead.

Activities opened on Friday evening with a lecture titled “Success Attitude for Christian Leaders” delivered by the Centre Secretary, Pastor Ayobami Ojo.

He urged participants to cultivate the mind of Christ as instructed in Philippians 2:5, noting that true leadership success begins with a leader’s inner attitude and character. He stressed that humility, faith, and a Christ-centered mindset are essential for navigating challenges and influencing others positively.

The second day featured two impactful teachings.The Superintendent of CAC Mokola DCC,  Pastor S. O. Gbuyiro facilitated the first session titled Effectual Prayer and Word System for Leadership Growth in a Distractive World.”

He underscored the necessity of a disciplined spiritual life, reminding leaders that distractions—though not always sinful—can draw them away from their divine assignments. He provided practical steps for cultivating a structured prayer life and consistent engagement with the Word.

The final lecture, Sharpening the Edge – Building Competence and Capacity for Transformation,” was delivered by Director of Youth Affairs, CACYOF Nigeria & Overseas, Pastor Peter Olanrewaju,PhD.

He emphasized the need for leaders to not only possess relevant skills but also build the capacity to apply them effectively, especially under pressure. He encouraged continuous personal development, team mentoring, and fostering environments that promote excellence.

The retreat also featured a Family Meeting where executives reviewed the Centre’s 2025 programmes and discussed new ideas to shape the 2026 calendar. Participants described the Boot Camp as spiritually enriching, reflective, and timely.

The 2025 CACYOF Ibadan Centre Leaders’ Boot Camp reaffirms the Centre’s commitment to raising spiritually grounded and competent youth leaders equipped to serve with excellence across all assemblies.
