The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has conferred a Meritorious Award on Pastor S.O. Oladele, President of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Nigeria and Overseas, during the annual World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Crash Victims.
The ceremony, held at Christ Apostolic Church, All Saints Chapel, Basorun, Ibadan, witnessed the presence of Sector Commander, CC Dr. Mrs. Rosemary UK Alo, officers of the FRSC, Special Marshals, and students of the Road Safety Club from Oba Akinyele Memorial High School, Anlugbua, Ibadan.
In her address, CC Dr. Mrs. Rosemary UK Alo highlighted the theme for this year’s remembrance day: “Lost Talent.” She emphasized that the FRSC, guided by the safe system approach, has developed the Nigeria Road Safety Strategy 2021–2030 to reduce road traffic incidents nationwide.
The Sector Commander urged road users and authorities to embrace safe practices and called on the government to enhance vehicular safety through the adoption of the safe system approach, aimed at ensuring that all road users arrive safely at their destinations.
Receiving the award on behalf of her husband, Mrs. S.K. Oladele expressed gratitude for the recognition.
CC Dr. Mrs. Rosemary UK Alo was also presented with an Award of Excellence by Unit 36 of the Special Marshal Corps, headed by Pastor Oludahunsi.
In recognition of CAC’s consistent support for the FRSC’s initiatives, Pastor John Adegbotoluwa, Oyo State Coordinator of the Special Marshal Corps, commended Pastor S.O. Oladele, Chaplain of All Saints Chapel Pastor Tunde Asokeji—who also serves as Special Assistant to the CAC President—and all attendees for their participation.
The event concluded with prayers offered for the FRSC officers, followed by a thanksgiving session.
