It was a day of joy, thanksgiving, and divine visitation on Sunday, October 19, 2025, as members and well-wishers of Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of the Lord District, gathered to celebrate the inauguration of the district and the induction of Pastor Isaac G. Akowonlehin as the pioneer District Superintendent.
The ceremony, held at the district headquarters, was conducted by the CAC Authority, represented by Pastor S.M.O. Akangbe, Superintendent of Success DCC, and Pastor S.O. Titiloye, the DCC Secretary. Both ministers led the inauguration and induction service with great solemnity and spiritual fervor, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the district’s history.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including District Superintendents, pastors, evangelists, elders, deaconesses, and representatives of other churches, alongside old and new members of the congregation who turned out in large numbers to witness the historic occasion.
In his message titled “Obedience,” Pastor Akangbe stressed the importance of total submission to God and adherence to the authority of the mission. He commended Pastor Akowonlehin for his consistent obedience and dedication to God’s work, encouraging him to continue faithfully in service, as divine rewards await.
“Obedience to God and the authority of our mission matters most. Remain steadfast, for your reward is coming soon,” he exhorted.
Following the sermon, Pastor Akowonlehin, his wife L/E E.O.B. Akowonlehin, and members of the church council were officially inducted and prayed for. The atmosphere was deeply spiritual as the congregation joined in heartfelt intercession for grace, strength, and divine direction for the new leadership.
The service also featured powerful musical ministrations from the Central Choir and Good Women Choir, whose renditions lifted the hearts of worshippers and set the tone for a joyous celebration.
The event culminated in a vibrant session of thanksgiving, as the congregation expressed gratitude to God through dancing, singing, and rejoicing.
The inauguration and induction marked not just an administrative milestone but also a new dawn for CAC Chapel of the Lord District—a day of renewed commitment to God’s work, unity, and spiritual progress.
