The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, yesterday visited his childhood church, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Oke-Igan, Odubanjo Regional Headquarters, Akure, Ondo State.
It would be recalled that a few weeks ago, Dr. Olukoya generously donated a pipe organ valued at twenty-six million naira (N26,000,000), with a current market price of forty-seven million naira (N47,000,000), to the CAC Oke-Igan.
Dr. Olukoya was warmly received by the Regional Superintendent of Odubanjo Region, Pastor Gideon Obiwale, along with other ministers and church members, who escorted him to the church auditorium.
While in the church auditorium, Dr. Olukoya fondly reminisced about his childhood days in the church. With a hint of humor, he pointed out the spot where he used to stand as a young boy. He recalled that, due to his small stature, church members would place him on a stool to enable him to play the keyboard.
Following a heartfelt prayer session by the Regional Superintendent of CAC Odubanjo Region, Pastor Gideon Obiwale, who prayed for Dr. Olukoya and the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. Olukoya led a joint prayer, seeking God's divine fire to overshadow the church.
Dr. Olukoya took a nostalgic trip to his alma mater, St. John CAC Primary School, located within the church premises. There, he met with the headmistress and pupils. As a testament to his commitment to giving back, Dr. Olukoya had previously renovated the school. During his visit, he offered prayers for the pupils and the school management.
In his welcome address, the Regional Superintendent of Odubanjo Region, Pastor Gideon Obiwale acknowledged the support the church has received so far from the Dr. Olukoya, saying that;"
Dr. Olukoya has renovated all the buildings and the school hall of his Alma mater. He has also purchased a pipe organ worth twenty-six million naira (N26, 000, 000) with a current market price of forty-seven million naira (N47, 000, 000) for the CAC, Oke-Igan, Akure, Ondo State. It is interesting to note that this type of pipe organ model was first bought in Nigeria by Dr. Olukoya for our church here."
He noted that Dr. Olukoya's father, apart from being a policeman, was also a Pastor at the Christ Apostolic Church. Thus, Professor Olukoya's ministry is heavily influenced by the work of Joseph Ayo Babalola, the first General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church.
"Today we welcome our beloved son, a trailblazer in whom we are well pleased and prayed that he and his family shall continue to impart this generation and generations yet unborn. We also use this medium to congratulate him and his beloved family on the occasion of their recent 35th wedding anniversary and pray the Lord to keep the home till eternity.
We are like Charles Dickens in his book “Oliver Twist”, who would always ask for more in line with the Holy Bible. Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and ye shall found, knock, the door shall be opened. For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh. findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened (Mathew 7:7-8). However, the asking, the seeking and the knocking shall not be done openly here but, between the Regional Superintendent and the General Overseer hereafter," Pastor Obiwale concluded.
