November 15th, 2024, marked a historic milestone for Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS), Abeokuta Satellite Campus, as the foundation of its permanent site was laid.
The groundbreaking ceremony was presided over by Regional Superintendent of Essien Region, Pastor I. Olu. Eyebiokin. The service commenced at 9:40 am with a series of prayer sessions led by esteemed men of God, including Pastor Victor Osiyemi, Pastor S. B. Olatunde, and Pastor David Okusanya. Pastor Ogunbona I. O., Zonal Superintendent of Saje Zone, rounded off the sessions.
The opening hymn was rendered by Pastor Sesan Odebiyi, Regional Finance Officer from CACGHB 563. Psalms 24, 87, and 127 were read successively by Pastor J. J. Adelabu, Pastor Agunbiade, and Pastor Victor Osiyemi.
Pastor Eyebiokin delivered a brief exhortation, expressing gratitude to God and the mission's leadership for making the seminary a reality. He emphasized the collective responsibility in achieving the vision.
The foundation-laying ceremony followed, with Pastor Eyebiokin laying the first corner, Pastor D. O. Okusanya (Regional Secretary and Isabo DCC Superintendent) laying the second, Pastor I. K. Oluwatusin (Lafenwa DCC Superintendent) laying the third, and Pastor S. B. Olatunde (Holy Ghost DCC Superintendent, Sabo, Abeokuta) laying the fourth.
The Regional Superintendent encouraged attendees to make financial pledges towards the project, leading by example with a substantial donation. A general offering was then collected.
The event drew a large attendance of seminary students, lecturers, and men of God, including Pastor Sam. Ogundana, Pastor Samuel Oladoja, and other esteemed pastors and evangelists.
The Acting Campus Coordinator, Pastor Moses Gbadebo, expressed gratitude, while Pastor Sam. Ogundana led the closing hymn from CACGHB 377.
