Amidst a gathering filled with gratitude and reverence, Christ Apostolic Church Pearce Region celebrated its second anniversary at the regional headquarters on Saturday 27th of April 2024. It was an occasion marked not only by jubilation for the milestones achieved but also by reflections on the essence of grace and purpose.

The key moment of the anniversary celebration was the enlightening sermon titled ‘Chosen to bear Fruits’ which was delivered by the Pearce Regional Superintendent, Pastor S.O Aluko.

Reading from 1 Peter 2 vs 10, the Superintendent began by emphasizing that our worthiness and calling are not determined by who we are, our family lineage or societal status but by the unmerited favor of God which is grace.

The cleric stressed on the universality of God's grace and the impartiality of His selection process.

Drawing from biblical narratives, the sermon delved into the fallibility of humanity and the redemptive plan of God as Pastor Aluko reminded the congregation of humanity's initial departure from its original state of communion with God and the subsequent intervention of divine grace through the sending of God’s only Son, Jesus Christ.

“We lost our originality in God, but at the appropriate time, He sent His Son to reddem us,”he said.

Speaking further, he challenged the congregation to recognize their role as instruments of God's grace and agents of transformation in their communities, expressing that failure to bear fruits by fulfilling this responsibility hinders our personal growth.

According to him, “If God sends you to someone and you do not fulfil the task, you have failed, not God. And He will send someone else to fulfil the task.”

He encouraged the congregation to reflect on their influence on those around them, emphasizing the significance of bearing fruit that glorifies God and contributes to the expansion of His kingdom.

Present to celebrate God’s faithfulness over the region were the family of Mama Pearce, Pastor and Deaconess Tokunbo Pearce; Akinyele Regional Superintendent, Pastor S.A Adedayo; Akilling Regional Superintendent, Pastor Emmanuel A. Olusoko; Akinyele Regional Secretary, Pastor E.O.O. Oyedeji; Pearce Regional Secretary, Pastor M.D. Olatunde, Regional Secretary of CAC Akilling Region, Pastor S.O.A.
