Christ Apostolic Church, Somolu Olaleye Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos has on Saturday, December 23, 2023 held a banquet for her ministers, being the first of its kind.
The DCC Superintendent, Pastor J. Oluwemimo Akinyomi, played the host of the delightful and befitting end-of-the-year banquet tagged the "Ministers Couples' Gathering" which was such a delightful culmination of shared joy and spiritual bonding.
The banquet witnessed a harmonious congregation of ministers and their wives, glowing within the echoes of musical songs of praise, hymns, and heartfelt prayers under the same atmosphere of spiritual communion.
Taking the night's lecture titled "Minister's Home: True Representative of Christ's Church", Pastor Akinyomi addressed the various challenges and pathways to impactful ministerial homes.
According to the Somolu Olaleye DCC Superintendent, the causes of problems in ministers' homes are, wrong foundation, lack of communication, overcommitment, pride and ego, and demonic intrusion.
He highlighted the possibilities of impactful ministers' home as, "determine to have a good home, pray through to a good home, adjust to your spouse, have time for your spouse, and provide for your home."
Pastor Akinyomi noted that the expectations of a minister’s home include, "symbol of the family in heaven, set apart as something special, a place of quiet retreat and refuge, a planned, well-organized home, and a haven of godliness."
Other features of the night include interactive games, where the families of Adeniyi, Ajayi, Salabiu, and Ogunsanya, took center stage in the spirited game session that added a touch of excitement to the gathering.
Heartfelt prayers, amidst gratitude to God ended the great night of fellowship and joy.
At the end of the banquet, attendees expressed their anticipation on the continuity of the exciting night that allowed them to engage and interact with other families on different edifying topics.
