Many Christians across the globe welcomed the new year 2024 with fervent anticipatory prayers, worship and prophecies of the coming days, as the minister-in-charge of Christ Apostolic Church Kingsrealm Middlesbrough, Pastor Titilayo Femi Kings emphasized the significance and need for Christians to recognize God as their ultimate source.
Speaking on the topic "God Our Unshakeable Source" at the Crossover Night Service held at the church auditorium, which attracted attendees from African countries such as Ghana, Botswana, South Africa, Zambia, etc., and Asian countries, the cleric revealed that gross darkness will mar the year 2024 but stars would emerge within the darkness.
According to him, the outcome of the year would be according to the name given, drawing scriptural reference from Exodus 1:8, where a king arose who did not know Joseph.
He urged the congregation not to allow distractions by the bad news going around the world regarding how 2024 will be a year of famine and scarcity, rather they must remain focused on their source, as relying on a system that does not know they exist is futile.
Pastor Femi Kings, as he is popularly called, stated that "if our source is secure, our resources are certain and permanent," charging his audience to abandon reliance on "futile calculators used to assess destinies and life matters, instead solely depend on their unshakeable source."
Expositing Exodus 2:2, the clergyman related the message of perceiving goodness amidst chaos in the new year 2024, counselling on the need to adopt a positive outlook irrespective of external challenges.
Drawing a parallel from the biblical story of Moses' mother who recognized the significance of her child in the midst of the infanticide in Egypt, the UK-based cleric noted that the root cause of human suffering is failure to comprehend the location of one's source, urging that Christians must understand the location of their source for their lives and destinies to survive in 2024.
The powerful and transformative night marked by ground-shaking testimonies and miracles with ten souls surrendering and rededicating their lives to God, concluded with expression of gratitude and thanksgiving for the promises and blessings of the new year.
