The Christ Apostolic Church Pastors' Leadership Retreat (PLR) has started today Monday January 22, 2024 at the Babalola Memorial International Prayer Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, Nigeria.

In his address, the President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele emphasised the need for regular training and urged participants to apply the knowledge gained from the training to make CAC productive, relevant and the pride of our Lord Jesus Christ who owns the Church.

He noted that one of the tools of organisational growth is training, saying that Jesus called to Himself those who He wanted to be with Him and taught them.

The President, who was represented by the General Secretary of the Church, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur urged participants at the PLR to conduct God's business as business indeed.

He further enjoined participants to be open to new and Bible-based ideas like disciples of Jesus who were teachable.

"Without prejudice to our rich and enviable pedigrees as individuals and as a Church, there is a need for us to gather new skills and competencies that will enable us do God's business profitably and creditably too (Matthew 25:20-23).

In closing, the President re-iterated the need to establish a "Productivity-based" reward system where clear, objective and measurable Performance indices will be applied in matters of appointment and rewards.

The training is facilitated by the CAC Leadership Academy (CACLA) which was inaugurated on December 29, 2021 by the Church Authority with a mandate to actualize the Human Capacity Develop mandate of this administration.

More than Two thousand (2000) CAC Pastors have participated in the Training since its  commencement in January 2022, including the President, other Principal Officers of the Church, Regional Superintendents, Heads of Fellowships/Departments, DCC/Zonal as well as District Superintendents.
