"You can not go far without the word of God and sound doctrine," the Assistant Director of Youth Affairs, Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Simeon O. Oke has told youths.

Speaking on the topic "Grow your Faith on Sound Doctrine: A Mark of a True Disciple" at the early morning session, day 2 of the Babajide regional youth conference, holding at the regional headquarters, Odo Owa, the cleric cited that as manuals come with newly bought television sets for directions on usage, the word of God which must be taken seriously, is the manual that contains directions for everyone's lives.

Dwelling on the texts, 1 Timothy 4:16 and 2 Timothy 4:3, the Assistant Director expressed that the word of God is a sure antidote and remedy to the current pervasiveness of this generation, emphasizing the key words in the topic.

The cleric who boasted that the CAC tenets were biblically crafted, stated that sound doctrine is necessary because it, distinguishes spirituality away from mere religion, promotes morality and piety above normality, promotes sound scriptural knowledge through indepth study, promotes love and fellowship among the brethren as in the early church, among others.

Pastor Oke challenged the youths on the need to grow in faith in order to finish well, concluding that, "your complete transformation into Christ's likeness is of utmost importance in the faith. Stunted growth is a problem; if you must grow, ensure you grow in the right direction and proportion."

The lecture was a captivating session mixed with prophetic declarations and utterances.
