Christ Apostolic Church, Isuada District has on Monday May 29, 2023, held a Refresher Course for all district workers at the District Headquarters, CAC Oke-Igbala, Osokiya Quarters, Isuada, Ondo State.
The Refresher Course, lauded the attendees for the impactful sessions, was moderated by the Planning Committee Chairman, Elder Kayode Suuru who also doubles as the District Secretary.
The District Superintendent, Pastor Solomon Afolabi, in his Welcome Address, gave glory and honour to God who for the opportunity to organize the Refresher Course, and the encouraging attendance of the workers, praying for love of God in the heart of the workers.
Giving the first lecture titled, "The Reward of Giving to the Work of God", Pastor Marcus Olanrewaju of CAC Igboroko-Nla, Owo DCC, Ondo State, explained points on things to give to the work of God, categories of people in the Vineyard of God, as well as the rewards and benefits of giving to the Work of God.
He reiterated the relationship between faith and work, stating from the scriptures that the practice of Christianity without working for God is nothing (Roman 12:11, James 2: 14-26).
Pastor Olarenwaju told the workers that working for God is till Christ comes (Matthew 25:14-29), imploring them to make a U-turn back to God for there is Grace for second chance (Luke 13:6-9).
The second lecture titled "Discipline and Good Moral Behaviour in the Church" was delivered by Pastor C. T. Oyeromi of CAC Oke Oluwa DCC, Owo, Ondo State.
Pastor Oyeromi defined the terms discipline, moral, behaviour and church, highlighting the expected behaviour expected of church workers such as doing good, pursing peace, respecting one other, influencing as salt and light of the world.
The cleric also gave the basic foundation for good moral behaviour (Acts 1:8, Deut. 8:6, Phil. 2:13) while he concluded with the prayer that Lord Jesus would grant every worker a new heart to behave as new creatures according to God's word.
