After about one year of demonstrating ardent commitment and service in the vineyard of God, the Authorities of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas have inducted Pastor Samuel Bamidele Olatunde, as the new Superintendent of CAC Holy Ghost DCC, Sabo, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
With moments of gladness, rejoicing and honour in the worship of God, the Essien Regional Superintendent, Pastor Isaac Olu Eyebiokin, represented the Church Authorities to perform the induction rites at the induction service held on Sunday, 26th March, 2023 at the DCC Headquarters.
The service featured a rousing parade by the Royal Shepherd, inspirational songs ministration by the DCC Choir, cutting of cake and presentation of gifts by the elated congregants.
In his sermon titled "Causes of Delay", the Essien Regional Superintendent, Pastor Eyebiokin exposited John 5:1-9 to draw out contemporary lessons from the story of the man with infirmity at the pool of Bethesda for thirty eight years.
According to the Regional Superintendent, "delay is what causes stoppage and setback, while cause is the reason behind the delay," stating that the bedridden man in the text had a delay for thirty eight years without help.
Highlighting salient points from the account of the man in his textual source as lessons for his congregants to scale through every form of delay, the clergyman stated that, lack of enlightenment, lack of time skills and management, lack of men as resources, ignorance and lack of knowledge, lack of discernment, suspicion and sensitivity and lack of knowledge of the right persons, are causes of delay in the lives of many.
Being charged by Pastor Eyebiokin to allow the leading of Christ in his discharge of responsibilities, Pastor Olatunde in his remarks, appreciated God, the Church Authority, the Essien Regional Superintendent, DCC and Zonal Superintendents, executives and members of Holy Ghost DCC and everyone in attendance, for their support and grace given him to serve and move the church forward.
In attendance at the induction service besides the Essien Regional Superintendent, Pastor Isaac Olu Eyebiokin, were the Isabo DCC Superintendent, Pastor Okusanya; Lafenwa DCC Superintendent, Pastor Oluwatosin; Saje Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Ogunbona; Ago-Ijesha Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Oyegbile; and Olomoore Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Bagboye and Pastor Onifade from CAC Zion City Lagos.
