It was a day of great joy and thanksgiving on Sunday February 19, 2023 at the sent-forth service organized by Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Zion District, Kaduna for her pioneer District Superintendent, Pastor Abraham Olatunbosun Aigbokhai.
The programme was attended by great dignitaries among who are, Zion Zonal Superintendent, Pastor & Mrs. I.O Aremu; Provost, Leadership Christian College and Seminary/PRO WAATI West Africa Zone, Prof. Paul Akinwumi; a certified Trainer DCPI/Coordinator DCPI North East Zone, Prophet Ola Olayinka; Prophet Isaiah Ajani, Prophetess R.O Fashola, Prophetess Modupeola Olooto, D/S Pastor Ojo, Pastor {Amb} Shola Olatunbosun humbly represented by Pastor Ariyo; the Kaduna DCC Secretary, Elder Alex Akpadija and other great men and women of God.
Ministering on the topic “God of a Second Chance” (Text: Luke 13:1-9, John 8:2-11), Pastor Aigbokhai stressed on the fact that God has given everyone a second chance to repent. From the text, he shared the story of the man who had a fig tree (Luke 13:1-9), saying God gives a second chance to every believer to amend their ways.
“We all have our pasts but seeing today is to amend that past with a repentant heart. In John 8:2-11, the Bible talks about the adulterous woman; the people were ready to judge her. They had every reason to crucify her by the law of Moses. Yes, they were right but something was not right in them. Jesus discovered this and He quickly opened their eyes to it. The question in verse 7 of the chapter was never answered by words till date even when she was accused by words but their action shows they were only judging her when they were also guilty of the same crime,” he stated.
Pastor Aigbokhai told the congregation that everyone will stand before the judgement throne of God someday, adding that, “you are given this time to amend your ways, stop judging people, think about yourself and areas that need urgent corrections.”
The preacher concluded that we will all account for whatever thing we do, urging the people to return back to God for us to end well with him as Pastor Moses Olooto prayed after the message.
Pastor Aigbokhai was honoured with gifts by the church and friends, while he also glorified God in a thanksgiving to appreciate his maker for a successful tenure.
Prophetess R.O Fashola led the prayer session for Pastor Aigbokhai and his family, without leaving the Kaduna State Royal Shepherd behind, as their presence added more colours to the day. The Medaiyese Regional Commandant of the Royal Shepherd was present with the Kaduna State grand patron popularly known as AGS4.
In his vote of thanks, Pastor Aigbokhai appreciated everyone who took out time to honour God in his life and ministry, praying that God rewards everyone accordingly in Jesus name.
