As the world still basks in the euphoria and embrace of the new year, the DCC Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, Ipadabo Jesu Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Akure, Pastor G. Olu Akeju, Ph.D, has disclosed secrets to enjoying God's best in 2023.

"I want to assure you that God has the best for you and myself this year, like I always say, the best is yet to come. To us in this church, the Lord has told us that 2023 is our year of abundant mercy but to enjoy the best of God through his mercy certain things are required of us," he related to his congregation.

Pastor Akeju had listed the requirements to enjoying God's best in 2023 in his New Year Message titled "The Secret of Enjoying God's best in 2023" culled from Proverbs 3:1-12.

The cleric related the first requirement as Be Total in Your Faith in God, underlisting, "do not depend on yourself; Cry out to God; Run away from evil; Put God first in your life; and Check yourself by God’s word" as ways of acheiving total faith in God.

"When we pray, we admit that his ways are higher than ours. We show that we are leaving our troubles and burdens and dreams and his capable hands. In fact, the bible assures us that when we reach out to him in prayer, he hears us," he said.

The clergyman identified being tenacious in following Christ and being thorough in one's service to God as further requirements to enjoying God's best.

Pastor Akeju pointed the need to be tenacious in following Christ in one's dedication, decision and disciplined lifestyle, adding that, Commitment, Time, Talent, Treasure, Concern and Consecration are ways of giving the best service to God.

He concluded that, "people of God let it be clear to you that all these are not possible for anyone outside Christ, as the food meant for children cannot and will not be given to dogs. For you to enjoy God’s best in this New Year, you must give your life to Christ first to avoid a life full of crisis."
