It was a day of celebrating God's faithfulness and divine victory on Sunday December 4, 2022 at the 60th Anniversary Thanksgiving of Christ Apostolic Church, Sanngo Districts' Coordinating Council headquarters, Elewure, Sanngo, Ibadan.

The church which started on Sunday July 1, 1962 in vacant shops of Pa. E.A. Seweje has grown over the years through God's grace and providence.

At the service, the President of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele who was the District Superintendent of the then Saango District from 1993 to 1998 was honoured with an award alongside the Regional Superintendent of Akinyele Region, Pastor S.A. Adedayo who worked with Pastor Oladele as the Curate of the church same period (1993-1998). All the former Pastors of the church were also given awards.

Pastor Oladele who was overwhelmed with the warm reception he received on arrival was taken round to see new developments in the church premises and he also officially unveiled a roll of honour called "CAC Oke Iyanu Sanngo God's Generals from 1962 to 2022."

While ministering at the programme, the Regional Superintendent of Akinyele Region, Pastor Adedayo on the theme of the anniversary, "Divine Victory" taking the text from 2nd Samuel 23:12, the Cleric said everyone on earth wants victory in one way or the other which could be victory from sickness, poverty, the enemy etc.

He noted that victory is certain for those who know the Lord, those who depend on Him only, adding that God has given us victory already and He will continue to give us victory till He comes.

Citing Psalm 76:5-6, Pastor Adedayo said no man can guarantee victory, it is from God true victory comes.

"As we embark on the journey of life, we can't run away from battles of life. The more your faith grows, the more your battles grow. We always pray never to encounter battles, but we can't run away from them irrespective of our status. Battles are always difficult only for those who think they can fight it themselves. Goliath came to battle with all the weapons of war, but David believed in the name of the Lord and God gave him victory. As we embark on the journey of faith, the day we believe we are the ones who will fight the battle, the battle will linger, but if we believe the battle is of the Lord, He will fight the battle for us," Pastor Adedayo explained.

The Clergyman implored the congregation to look unto God to overcome any battle that they may be battling with because victory comes from Him.

In his goodwill message earlier at the programme, the DCC Superintendent of Saango DCC, Pastor J.B. Agunbiade:"Sanngo God's Generals have been the battle axe in God's hand in breaking down strange altars speaking against the people of God.

"God himself has been our light and salvation with no cause to fear (Ps 27:1). In the early stage of the church, He was our banner (Song Solomon 2:4), at the rapid expansion and growth of this church, He carried us on his eagle's wing (Is. 40:31), at the downtime of our financial instability, he is our Jehovah Jireh (Gen. 22:14) and when the enemy of the church came like a mighty rushing wind, the Lord himself lifted up a standard against them (Isaiah 59:9). Beloved, the Lord's victories gave us dominion over our land to further propagate the gospel and His song has always be in our mouth (Ps 40:3). Therefore, I see this day, victorious for us all," he noted.

The service had in attendance many notable faces among who is the Regional Superintendent of Babalola Region, Pastor J.O. Ogunwuyi.
