The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele has challenged students on being agents of transformation, saying that light has no value except when it is dark.

The Clergyman also told the students that; "you have what it takes to transform not only CAC, but this nation.

Pastor Oladele, represented by his Special Assistant, Pastor T. D. Asokeji told the students across campuses in Nigeria, Togo and Benin on Friday, 22nd July, 2022 at the Academic Star Summit organized by the Directorate of Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship (CACYOF).

The CAC President who challenged the students that "if you are waiting for an environment that is clement, then you are not ready to be an agent of transformation," asserted that "you don't need to transform something if it is good. You must be ready to be a troubleshooter."

Taking his text from Job 1:1-21, the clergyman expounded that the text is an interaction between light and darkness, citing that the theme text of the Summit (Isaiah 60:1-3) should be studied contextually as its pretext (Isaiah 59) depicts the state of corruption which contemporarily fits into the state of Nigeria

According to the cleric, "Arise and shine is an instruction."

Pastor Oladele related the qualities of Job excerpted from Job 1:1 to the youths, "perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil."

He explained that Job was not a man of double standard, feared God as in reverence, adding that "love precedes honour and the proof of love is obedience."

Pastor Oladele who furthered that the man Job lived in a city in the midst of darkness but shunned evil, declared that an agent of transformation must be somebody who is willing and able, one who put into practise all the qualities highlighted about Job.

"If you want to be an agent of transformation, you must be ready to defer your carnal mind, he said.

Pastor Asokeji on behalf of the President also announced that students interested in studying Business Analytics should meet the Directorate of Youth Affairs.

Pastor Asokeji also announced that the President had sent copies of his book for the various campus fellowships at the Summit.
