It was a memorable day of history that would linger in the heart of many on Sunday March 20, 2022 when the authorities of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas inaugurated CAC Pearce Region and inaugurated the immediate past Director of Sunday School of the Church, Pastor S.O. Aluko as the pioneer Regional Superintendent.

Pearce Region which was named after Mrs. O.O.A. Pearce, the late pioneer Principal of the then CAC Bible College comprises 25 DCCs and Zones (Nine DCCs and 16 zones).

The inauguration and induction service was held at CAC Pearce Regional headquarters, CAC Mushin DCC headquarters, Mushin, Lagos. It was anchored by the President of the Church, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele and General Superintendent, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi. Other Principal Officers in attendance are the General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur, Finance Director, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde and Missions Director, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi. Wives of Principal Officers in attendance are Mrs. S.K. Oladele, Mrs. Mariam Odejobi and they were happily welcomed by Mrs. Julianah Aluko, wife of Pastor Aluko.

It was indeed a colourful programme where the glorious and reputable choir of the region rendered inspiring songs which indeed blessed lives.

While ministering on the topic "Let's Build the Wall of Jerusalem" taking his text from Nehemiah 2:17, the President of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Oladele said just like the city of Jerusalem of old, the Church of Jesus Christ is not what it should be and that should be a concern to all of us.

He noted that the wall of Jerusalem was broken yet there was celebration galore in some places in Jerusalem, saying that same thing is applicable to the Church, particularly CAC.

"We have revival and it's revival of promotion, changing of status from District to Zone, Zone to DCC etc. We are shadows of what we are supposed to be. As a Church we can no longer boast of the glory of our fathers, we cover up with celebration and promotion. Today we may be growing numerically, but we are not what we should be. Our celebration are to cover up and show to the world that nothing is wrong with us," he said.

The Cleric further stated that "we have many broken walls in our church. It is only those who are lying that will say there is no broken wall in CAC. Is the wall of unity broken or not? Is the wall of love and trust broken or not? Can we trust each other? Can we share cup of drinks without thinking otherwise? Everything we build in church today without using the cement of truth would collapse. Whatever directive or order we give without the truth will collapse."

While laying more emphasizes on the book of Nehemiah, Pastor Oladele said Nehemiah shouldn't have been concerned at all about the situation in Jerusalem because he was living in Persia which was far from Jerusalem and he was comfortable.

He added that Nehemiah could have said he was too young or far from Jerusalem, noting that it's when we don't want to do some things for God we will have excuses, some of us are too fearful to take some decisions or steps for the Lord.

"Nehemiah was very comfortable than many of us but he was more concerned by the situation of the Jerusalem. Many of us, when we have fat bank accounts or living comfortably, forget about the broken walls of our church," the President said.

Urging people to emulate Nehemiah, Pastor Oladele said Nehemiah had knowledge of what was happening in Jerusalem despite being in Persia.

"We need to know what is happening in our church. Let us enquire. Let us ask questions. As we inaugurate this region, let us show concerns, ask necessary questions probably if there is any broken wall you can mend. Christ looks today for volunteers who are very dedicated. God is not impressed by our ability or capability, but availability. In the absence of capability, God uses those who are available. Some of us are ignorant because we don't want to know.

If you have the heart of Christ, you don't need His command to contribute your quota to His church. Since God has blessed you, you don't need to wait till the time He will tell you before you will give to His work," he stressed.

The Cleric noted that Nehemiah was sorrowful about the situation of things in Jerusalem, but many of us are not sorrowful about the state of our church because we are living comfortably.

He also said Nehemiah was very prayerful, urging everyone to always pray for Christ Apostolic Church, particularly our Ministers.

"Some of us like to criticize our Ministers forgetting they are human beings with flesh and blood. They are first men before being called by God. Pray for your church, pray for your ministers. CAC was born by prayers and we must continue to pray for the Church," he emphasized.

The service ended with presentation of gifts to the Regional Superintendent, closing hymn, closing remarks, "Halleluyah Chorus" by the choir and Benediction.

  2. Congratulations dear sir. A mentor and my role model from CACTS OPA years. You lifestyle is what I admire and adore. Our hope is raised for the fact that people like you are moving to the helms of affairs in CAC! End time revival is going to be anchored by and in CAC truly.

  3. Remain tuned. Meanwhile, here are a few unmistakable perceptions I've concocted - some unique, some maybe not - over the span of nonchalantly noticing the region while driving to and from:
