The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Kola Sonaike has urged ministers and members of Christ Apostolic Church on the importance of predominant features of our services in CAC.

He noted that the predominant features of our services are prayer, clapping of hands, singing of choruses and hymns, Word of God, etc.

He therefore urged ministers not to deviate from those predominant features which distinguished our church from others.

Prof. Sonaike stated this while ministering on the topic "Corporate Governance & Ethics: Christ Apostolic Church as a Case Study" on Tuesday January 18, 2022 at Pastors' Leadership Retreat organised by CAC Nigeria and Overseas holding at JABU, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.

He also urged ministers and members of the Church to imitate the respect and humility livestyles of the founding fathers of the Church.

The Cleric explained that during the days of our fathers, they greeted and communicated with themselves with respect and humility, not minding age or position.

Laying emphasis on the topic of his lecture, the VC said the potential pitfalls in corporate governance are lack of or insufficient communication, lack of transparency in the way organisation is governed, disregard for the core values of the organization, imposition of double standards and lack of discipline, poor performances of leaders and lack of integrity.

"As competition in many areas of human livelihood gets fiercer and fiercer, there is the growing need for organizations to be more conscious of ethical standards. The organizations that lay a lot of emphasis on high and quality are those that would win in the future. Whatever is the mission of an organization, it has to be delivered with very high regards for quality. There must be continuous training and retraining of the workforce to sharpen existing skills and to learn the new technologies that are emerging daily in our world. To stay in one spot is to go into oblivion. We can no longer be using 20th century technology to deliver 21st century products. The world is in quite a hurry. That is Biblical. When Prophet Daniel stated in Daniel 12:4 that ".. thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased", he was relaying an end time prophecy. From many indications, it is clear we are already in that time. Technology is moving at an unprecedented fast pace. A new product today goes into extinction within a matter of days. God cannot lie and He is already carrying out what was prophesied through his servants of old.

In our world today, there is less room for excuses. The buck must always stop on the table of the leader. Gone are the days when the leader's action and utterances are sacrosanct. The leader of today cannot have such expectations. The more we discuss and work in teams, the better for the organization. The team must be carried along in decision-making. for the good of the organization. In general, organizations today are getting flatter and tend to be all-inclusive. We are in a transformational mode in our mission. The steps being taken are quite laudable. We are seeing emphasis on best practices. We are seeing emphasis on team work. We are seeing emphasis on training and development. We are on the right track. We shall keep moving forward, God being our helper," he concluded.

  3. However, collecting these pieces of history was quite difficult even a few years back, and often there was not sufficient supply to meet with the demands.메이저사이트
