The authorities of the Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS) Main Campus, Opa, Ile-Ife have highlighted the plans and schedule of activities for the upcoming 40th convocation ceremonies which will promisingly be glorious.
This was disclosed in separate interviews with the Provost of the institution, Pastor Prof. C. O. Oshun; the Deputy Provost who doubles as the Chairman, Convocation Planning Committee, Pastor Dr. Moses O. A. Oluwaniyi and the Registrar, Pastor Titus A. Adesoji.
CAC News gathered that the plans have been concluded to have a great intellectual, academic, insightful and spiritual convocation ceremonies as they expect the principal officers of the Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas and all and sundry for the celebrations.
The Provost, who expressed his joy, blessing the name of the Lord for the expectant uniqueness of the 40th edition, stated that the convocation week will be a wonderful one.
In the same vein, the Registrar stated that, "by the grace of God, our convocation ceremony is coming up on Friday, November 26th, 2021. Everybody is welcome to come and celebrate the goodness of God, the faithfulness of God with us on this campus."
He added that, "before that Friday, by the special grace of God, we are going to have convocation lecture. We are going to also have the experience of our fathers who have been able to work well in Christ Apostolic Church and they were not tired. They are going to give us their own experience - what made them to live fulfilled and how they were able to be successful in the ministry. Also, we are going to have a matron who will come and speak to our graduating students on their home. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy God's grace upon us."
According to the Chairman of the Convocation Planning committee, Pastor Oluwaniyi, the schedule of events are as follows;
Monday, 22nd November, 2021: Ministerial Field Experience
Speaker: Pastor M. O. Olufadeju, (Retired DCC Supt.).
Tuesday, 23rd November, 2021: Spouses' Seminar titled "Managing the Family in times Like This"Speaker: Mrs. F.O. Fayokun (Matron, OAUTHC)
Wednesday, 24th November, 2021: Convocation Lecture titled: "Why Sit We Here Until We Die?" II Kings 7:3: A Christian Response to the Political and Religious Crisis in Nigeria.Guest Lecturer: Professor A. O. Dairo; Head, Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy; and, Dean, Faculty of Humanities; Redeemer's University, Ede, Osun State.
Friday, 26th November, 2021: Grand-finale and Award of Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor's Degree of Theology. The President of the Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor S. O. Oladele is expected to give the convocation message.
