Christ Apostolic Church, Idi-Oro Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Mushin, Lagos, on Sunday August 29, 2021 celebrated her 2021 Choir Anniversary with the theme "Make a Joyful Noise."
Apart from the host choir, the glamorous celebration had in attendance the ex-choir members of the church who ministered in songs and gave awards to some people who have contributed immensely to the growth of the choir, including the incumbent Choir Master, Deacon Afolabi Kayode. The ex-choir also bought a brand new keyboard for the church which was dedicated by the DCC Superintendent of CAC Idi-Oro DCC, Pastor M.D. Latunde.
The host choir in their beautiful "ankara" attire rendered songs such as "I will shout and shine, "Eleburu Ike," "Eje ka korin Ayo", "Iyin loye O" and "I am so glad" among others.
While ministering on the theme of the anniversary, DCC Superintendent of CAC Idi-Oro DCC, Pastor Latunde said it is compulsory for everyone to praise God irrespective of the situation.
He said when the Bible says "make a Joyful noise unto the Lord" it simply means to praise God joyfully and when you're praising God you will derive joy from it and that joy will become your strength.
According to him, the Bible is compelling us and make it compulsory for us to praise God joyfully and when you are praising God you will derive joy from it and that joy will become your strength.
He added that;"in the world we have diverse of experiences, but irrespective of your experience or challenges, it is compulsory you praise God for everything has has done.
On Why we must praise God, Pastor Olatunde said:"you don't praise God anyhow, you must praise Him with the right understand and one of the reasons we should praise Him is because of who He is. Nobody can be who He is. None of the gods on earth can be compared with our God. When you praise God, He will do something that will make you fear and reference Him.God is wonder and everything about Him is wonder."
