Christ Apostolic Church, Power House, Abundant District headquarters, Baltimore, USA, on Sunday August 22, 2021 held 2021 Children Anniversary and also graduated some children to the adult church.
The children were highly appreciated and celebrated by the church. The District Superintendent of CAC Abundant District, Prophet Sunday O. Ajibade powerfully prayed for them.
While ministering at the programme and extracting the message from Proverbs chapter 22 verse 6, which says, “teach your child the way he should go, and when he’s old he will not depart from it,” Prophet Ajibade told parents that they must consciously train their children by creating time for them at the family altar.
He further stressed that Church is only responsible for 20% of our spiritual growth, what we do individually as family matters.
According to him, parents must be available to mentor the children, giving them chores to do, supervise them, and make corrections while allowing them to do it.
"Parents should not condemn their children. They can make mistakes, we must be available to advise and correct them where necessary. Psalm 127:1 says 'except the Lord build the house, the builders are working but in vain.' Parents should show their children the way of the Lord. With prayers and appropriate engagement of our children, they will grow to become a responsible and God fearing adult," the Cleric stated.
Prophet Ajibade congratulated the Sunday School Department for the job well done by giving the children unit necessary attention and capable hands who taught the children.
