Be contented, Pastor Odejobi urges at his 69th birthday thanksgiving

Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi

The General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Emmanuel Olatoro Odejobi has urged Christians to be godly and be contented in order to live a fulfilled life and be whatever God destined for them.

Speaking on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at a Thanksgiving service attended by his children and Well-wishers from Lagos and a few staff in the CAC Secretariat,  Pastor Odejobi said the birthday was marked in a solemn manner without fanfare because he was contented.

According to him, the family, friends and Well-wishers as well as many spiritual children had been calling him asking about what they should do to celebrate the day, but he told them he wasn't going to do it in Lagos.

Quoting Paul's epistle to Timothy, he said godliness with contentment is great gain. Adding,  for any Christian to gain God's favour on earth and in heaven, he or she must live a godly life and be contented.

These two virtues, which are very vital, according to Odejobi, are scarce virtues in Nigeria today and that was the reason everything in the country was getting worse everyday.

The General Superintendent urged his listeners to be godly in their dealings with God and people whom He created.

He further said that failing to be godly and contented, man would be robbed of the opportunities of God's special blessings and favours.

Present at the Thanksgiving service were Mama, Mrs Odejobi and some of the children. Some members of the Transfiguration family from Lagos, Pastor Olukoya the PA to the General Superintendent, a few staff from the office of the GS, Pastor Ade Alawode, the Director of Publicity, Pastor Steven Aweda, Pastor Jackson Olatunji, Pastor Oni Ayodeji and Mr. Emmanuel Kolawole.
