There was influx of crowd in their numbers into the ancient city of Idimu Lagos state during Christ Apostolic Church, Idimu DCC Annual anniversary on Sunday 20th June, 2021 at the DCC headquarters.
The anniversary was preceded by the annual Ministers Refresher Course titled “Ministerial Assignment in a changing world I King 18:22-24” where more than two hundred ministers, Deacons and Deaconesses were gathered from Wednesday 16th to Saturday 19th June, 2021 .
Capable facilitators within and outside the Coordinating Council did justice to the preparation and delivery of all the topics highlighted for the Refresher Course.
The Principal Speaker, Pastor Mich ‘Tunji Oladapo who is the Zonal Superintendent of Life and Power Zone gave lectures on Ministers Home as God’s Kingdom on earth and Elder, Deacons, Deaconesses: Sponsors of God’s cause in Christ Church.
Internal facilitators included Pastor Akinpelu I.D.O who preached on “The Paucity of Relationship and Respect for Senior Minister and Church Authority”, the Secretary of the DCC, Pastor Alegbeleye B.A. preached on Exercising your Gift/Calling according to Measure of Faith”, Pastor Asore S.T preached on “Thus saith the Lord, Yesterday, Today and Way Forward”, Pastor Adegboyejo S.O, preached on “The Christ Church and our Churches in Christendom Today”, Pastor Adegboyega J. preached on “Setting yourself as God Required Standard” Pastor Fadipe S. O. A. the DCC superintendent educated ministers on Order of Service: Common Mistakes, while Pastor Dr. Akinpelu took Health Talk during the Refresher Course.
The DCC anniversary and the grand finale held on Sunday June 20, 2021 with Pastor C.S. Fasuyi as the preacher.
He recounted in many areas, the faithfulness of God being the major bedrock of our existence. His many personal testimonies were typical illustrations of God’s unfailing and immeasurable faithfulness.
The DCC and the Anniversary commitee through the leadership of the DCC superintendent, Pastor S.O.A Fadipe presented an award of recognition to Pastor C.S. Fasuyi in acknowledgement of his meritorious service on the mission field home and abroad as the Chairman Board of Missions and the Missions Director of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide.
As part of the activities lined up for the day, the new Central Choir Executive Members were also inaugurated and prayed for. The celebration was driven to its crescendo in the atmosphere of worship when Opelope Anointing and her Gospel Band led the congregation in praises to God. The service came to a close with thanksgiving by the Anniversary Committee Chairman Pastor A. Abiodun Abiona. Photograph and reception followed immediately.
