CAC holds Evening of Hymns and Tributes for late General Superintendent, Pastor Bandele

Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, on Wednesday 18th November, 2020 held Evening of Hymns and Tributes for former and late General Superintendent of the Church, Pastor Paul Olorunfemi Bandele.


Pastor Bandele who slept in the Lord at age 85 on Friday February 7, 2020, was the 8th General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide from the year 2007 to 2010.


The service which was held at All Saints Chapel, CAC General Secretariat in Ibadan had in attendance the Church authority led by the President, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun; President (Designate), Pastor Samuel O. Oladele; General Superintendent (Designate), Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi, General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji, General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur, Finance Director, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde and Mission Director, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi. Others are Regional Superintendent of Anosike Region (Europe), Pastor Jacob Olalere, Regional Superintendent of Babalola Region, Pastor J.O. Ogunwuyi, Music Director, Pastor Tope Dada, Youth Officer, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro and many others.


While giving his tribute about the late icon, the President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun said Pastor Bandele was a minister of God to the core, stating that you can't get in touch  with him without remembering him.


He noted that he is the father of homiletics in CAC having taught him (Pastor Akinosun) at the Seminary in Ile-Ife.


According to him, the late Pastor Bandele was very supportive to the present adminstration of the Church and always called to pray for him.


Pastor Akinosun narrated that "three days before the day he died he called and prayed for me. He also appreciated that we took care of him. It was three days after then Pastor Fasuyi called me around 11:45 in the evening that Baba Bandele had gone to meet with the Lord. I was shocked."


He noted that Pastor Bandele loved CAC to the point of death and his uniqueness can never be forgotten.


The President (Designate),CAC Worldwide, Pastor Oladele said he was in primary 3 in 1954 when he first knew Pastor Bandele, though he didn't know his name.


According to him, he got to know him more when he was at the Bible College in Akure, explaining that Pastor Bandele met them in class on a particular day when he just returned from London.


He noted that Pastor Bandele talked to them and even taught them a song, stressing that one of the courses Pastor Bandele later taught them is Homiletics.


Pastor Oladele noted that when he was about travelling abroad in 1974, Baba Bandele was the one who drove him to the airport with his car.


The Mission Director, CAC Worldwide, Pastor Fasuyi described Pastor Bandele as a disciplinarian and was very straightforward to the core.


He noted that Pastor Bandele didn't cover evil, but he exposed it.


He said the late General Superintendent respected the authority and despite his closeness with Late Pastor E.H.L. Olusheye, he never disrespected him or said negative words about him.


Pastor Fasuyi urged the families of the late icon to emulate him and not to forget his legacies.
