Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Praise, Akure, Ondo State, on Sunday June 21, 2020 held the 2020 edition of annual Media Day.
Media day is an annual programme designed to sensitize the church on what they need to know about the ever changing world of technology and how it affects the Church.
Since Ondo State allowed religious gatherings, CAC Chapel of Praise also resumed religious activities as well as continuation of activities as planned on the yearly calendar.
The theme of the programme is "The Church and the Media."
Part of the activities of this year's edition were: talk on what the church, parents and children can do to prevent rape; news read through a virtual studio; interviews on what people can do to prevent COVID-19; interviews on measures to take to prevent online scam; and a message tagged "The Church and The Media".
While speaking, the Coordinator of the Media Department, Elder Dr. Alaba Depo-Mogaji admonished the church to avoid exposing vital information about themselves on the media.
Instead, he advised that the media should be used for positive reasons which include spreading the gospel.
At the end of the programme, the Senior Pastor, Prof. S.B Adejuyigbe applauded the media department and also encouraged the unit to keep the church informed.
