You must not lose your salvation at mercy of being loyal to your boss - Former VC, TASUED

Former Vice Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Prof. Oluyemisi Oluremi Obilade, has advised Christians not to lose their salvation at the mercy of loyalty, particularly to a boss.

She stated that salvation is more important than any appointment and if God says the job is yours, He won't allow your boss to sack you because you didn't support his or her ungodly deeds.

Prof. Obilade stated this on Thursday November 21, 2019 at the Executive Talk Show organized by Christ Apostolic Church, Praise Chapel on the topic "Practicing Christianity in the World of Corruption"

She noted that as a Christian, pleasing God should be your major desire before loyalty to anyone because God can remove you from the job either dead or alive.

For a Christian who works under corrupt boss, Prof. Obilade said they must let their boss know who they are in Christ.

"When people know that you're living to please God, they will respect your stand. There are certain things your boss won't ask you to do because He knows who you are," she stated.

While using herself as a case study, the former VC of TASUED said she never compromised the standard of the scripture while in office despite so many temptations, stating that throughout the five years she spent in office she never sat on her official seat because she acknowledged Christ as the CEO of TASUED and the seat belongs to Him.

According to her, God will not change His standard for any man, adding that the more of God you have in you will determine whether you will compromise when temptation comes.

"When the world of people know what you stand for, your life becomes easier. Be aware of who you're in Christ. Run away from lust. When you stand for God there is a price to pay. You can work among corrupt people and not be corrupted," she stated.
