The DCC Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Ikorodu Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ikorodu, Lagos, Pastor L.O. Akinloye has urged Nigerian  churches to continue to pray for the country, rather than engaging in criticism of the government.

He noted that that if Nigeria will be peaceful, Christians in Nigeria have their roles to play and part of these roles is praying for the nation.

Pastor Akinloye noted this while ministering on Sunday September 15, 2019 on the theme "Walking with God" during the Sunday service of the church.

The Cleric who urged the congregation to walk with God said walking with God will bring an end to the present insecurity challenges and other menaces affecting the country.

According to him, if all Christians in Nigeria can walk with God and intercede for Nigeria, the country will change positively.

Pastor Akinloye however urged Nigerian leaders at all levels to walk God and shun tribalism, favoritism, corruption and other immoral acts which hinder the progress of the nation.

"There is no one who walks with God that He will not encounter. Walking with God changes situation. If we walk with God in Nigeria there will be the true change we all desire for the country. It doesn't take God anything to change Nigeria if we all walk with Him. Politicians and government policies have failed us. We must return to God," said the Pastor.
