The 70th birthday ceremony of renowned and evergreen gospel singer, Pastor J.A. Adelakun, popularly known as "Ayewa" will come up between Monday 16th September and Saturday 21st September, 2019.
Pastor Adelakun entered the group of the septuagenarian on the 11th of June, 2019 but for proper planning and in order to allow family, friends and fans of the music icon to attend the birthday ceremony, particularly those who are based in the diaspora, the events will hold this month.
At a press conference held today Tuesday September 3, 2019 in Lagos, Pastor Adelakun disclosed that open-air crusade will hold at Christ Apostolic Church, Mercy-Land, Akute by 5:30pm daily from Monday 16th to Wednesday 18th September, 2019.
Pastor Adelakun who was ably represented at the press conference by the Secretary of the Planning Committee of the birthday ceremony, Pastor Mich Tunji Oladapo further disclosed that 7 hours of Praise would hold on Thursday 19th September, 2019 at the same venue from 8pm to 3am.
Renowned gospel singers like Tope Alabi, Yinka Ayefele, Lady Evangelist (Dr.) Bola Are, Bukola Akinade and many more are expected to minister.
He disclosed that the grand finale/ Thanksgiving Service of the birthday celebration will hold on Saturday September 21, 2019 at 10 Degree Events Centre, A2 Billings Way, Opposite Lever Brothers, Oregun Ikeja, Lagos, by 12noon. The grand finale is strictly by invitation.
