TEASINGS SAWT a new entrant into the Nigerian gospel industry. The convener of the gospel music group, Tuyi Emmanuel Akinola Akinku speaks with CAC NEWS on the forthcoming live recording concert of the group which holds on Friday July 26, 2019 and other interesting issues.
Tell us briefly about yourself and Teasingz SAWT group
First of all I want to thank CAC NEWS for this vision and opportunity to showcase CAC brands across the globe, definitely they are rebranding CAC.
Tuyi Emmanuel Akinola Akinku simply known by his stage name Teasingz, an abbreviation from the full name is a multi talented gospel artist and also a music director. Every good listener of mellifluous contemporary, electronic and Afro pop has the knowledge of this tremendous worshipper and energetic praise leader. I started music around 12 years from the juvenile choir to the church choir at age 14. At age 16 I was given the role of the music director with my overview of music arrangements and creativity. My love for God has made me one of his minstrel to save the lost soul through his brand.
What prompted the establishment of the music band?
SAWT meaning Sing Along With Teasingz has been a divine style of leading people through intense worship and praise by making everyone sing along and dance like David. It is at the appointed time that it came to manifest (Hab 2:3).
Give us full details about your forthcoming Live Recording Concert
SAWT CONCERT will be live in CAC Mountain of Fulfillment Zone, Kasumu Estate, Ibadan and it starts exacts 4pm. There will be a live broadcast for everyone to join us during the concert. The band and I had 7 different session of rehearsals towards this concert and we are ready to give him the praise. The atmosphere will be lit and his name shall be exalted. We have prayed and believe he’s presence will be in the atmosphere and there shall be great signs and wonders.
Tell us about the invited guests
On the list we have Moyinoluwa a sweet soulful worshipper who has work with the likes of Frank Edwards and Ada Ehi. Her singles titled Aayo Oba Ogo produced by award winning producer and sound engineer Edward Sunday, is still making waves.
Also we had Oreoluwa, a dynamic and talented gospel sensation which I saw grow spiritually and musically has been a great minstrel for the heavenly kingdom. Her singles, Ayo is still trending produced by E piano.
Lastly, we have a young and talented gospel artist and music producer, Pelumi.
It is a great privilege and call to honour our maker by giving Him his best meal.
There are so many music bands and gospel artists these days, but majority of them are not scripturally rooted. What do you think is wrong?
By their fruit we shall know them. I think the major problem is the background of most of these artistes. Some of them do not have an encounter with God about their divine purpose. I pray that they have their own encounter with God so that their ministrations and lifestyle will please God.
What should be the greatest desire of any gospel artiste or gospel band?
The Bible says there’s great joy for just a single sinner that repent and commit his ways unto the lord. So all aspirations of a gospel artist should be to drive every lost sheep to God's kingdom. We are soldiers of Christ and ministry should lead people to Jesus.
Where do you see yourself and your crew in the next five years?
What I always envisage is hearing people testify how my music has change their lives into becoming heavenly candidates. I also look forward to work with great gospel artist like Tim godfrey Sammie okposo Sinach Derrick Haddon Marvin Sapp and many more. I just want to be renowned brand for God's kingdom through my music.
