History was made on Thursday February 28, 2019 when the Authority of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide formally commissioned CAC Nursery and Primary School Mission Field built for Chikanda community, Baruten Local Government, Kwara State.

The School is one of the many schools the Missions Department of CAC Worldwide has built for communities across the globe, particularly in Africa. The formal commissioning was done by the President of the mission, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun.

Apart from Pastor Akinosun, the General Superintendent, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji, General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur, Finance Director, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde and Missions Director, Pastor C. S. Fasuyi were also in attendance.

While delivering his speech at the commissioning, the Missions Director, Pastor Fasuyi said in the current world of information technology, education is both a necessity and an investment which everybody must embrace with the seriousness that it deserves.

He said the era when education was acquired in crowded and stressful classrooms is becoming a thing of the past, saying that the aim of the church for resuscitating the school is to make learning accessible to the less privileged in the community.

"When I first discussed the issue of this school with the leaders of the church, I was asked how would it be financed, but I said God would provide. We are here and delighted to be in your midst to witness this commissioning today of CAC Nursery and Primary School Mission Field Chikanda with Seven Classrooms block, three toilets and a borehole dug by the Destiny Focus Care Initiative (DFCI) which made it six of their boreholes to support the Mission Department. I am also convinced that the children, parents and school authorities who are the ultimate beneficiaries of this project will look with gratitude at the Church Authority," he stated.

Pastor Fasuyi appreciated the Headmaster of the school, Pastor Samuel Akinremi who he said has been working day and night to ensure the smooth running of the school and the success of the programme.

While preaching at the event, the General Superintendent of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Oladele noted
that the missionaries who brought the gospel to Nigeria went ahead to build schools and other things which simply means they were ministering to the total man.

Pastor Oladele commended the Missions Department for also ministering to the total man, stating categorically that at times, a cup of garri can win souls for Christ more than 1000 sermons.

According to him, some preachers of this generation only focus on preaching to the soul and spirit needs of their people, forgetting that the body must not be left out.

He said Jesus Christ fed 5000 people because he understood that he needed to meet the total need of man which is nourishing their body, soul and spirit.
