Pastoral Ordination: CAC Worldwide unveils plans for one year compulsory training for prospective candidates

Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide has unveiled plans for one year compulsory training for prospective candidates for pastoral ordination.




According to a circular signed by the General Secretary of the mission, Pastor E.E. Mapur, there will be one year compulsory training programme for prospective Pastors to be ordained in CAC Worldwide at Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun state.



The General Secretary stated that three candidates are allocated for every Districts’ Coordinating Council (DCC), while two candidates are allocated for each Zone.




Information on the fees payable by each candidate is included in the circular which will be sent to all zones and DCCs in the country.




“Furthermore, sixty percent of the total fee shall be paid in the first semester of the training which will come up between January and May, 2019 while forty percent balance shall be paid in the second semester which will be from July to December, 2019. Ordination will hold in December at the end of the training programme,” Pastor Mapur noted.



The Cleric stated further that prospective candidates must pass the following qualifications: “ordination shall be by recommendation or vacancy and the ability to absorb candidates for not less than five years after ordination. The candidate should have three years field experience after graduation from the Bible school or seminary. The candidate shall be happily married with church wedding evidence. He shall be 25 years old and above. He must have attended the seminary recognized by Christ Apostolic Church which are CACTS Ile-Ife, CINDICO, ECWA, UMTC and Life Bible College.”



Regions, DCCs, Zones and Special Districts were directed to submit names of prospective candidates for the training programme on or before Thursday November 15, 2018.



Pastor Mupur concluded that there shall be thorough screening of candidates by committee and training proper begins third week of January, 2019.
