Biography of CAC Hanson Regional Superintendent, Pastor Edovie



 
Pastor H.E. Edovie


Pastor H.E. Edovie was born some decades ago to the family of Pa Joseph Efi Okugba Edovie who was the founding father of CAC Emede and he was prayed for by Late Apostle Ayo Babalola at Emede town in Isoko South Local Government Area Delta state.




Baba H.E. Edovie attended Baptist Primary School in Amege Buseni where he obtained standard 6 certificates in the year 1962. Later he further his education to Akwa Boys High School and obtained his S75 which is government class 4. He left there due to Nigeria civil war. In 1967 he became an Evangelist under Pastor S.S. Micha and was later posted to his first station called Ohoro in Uwheru clan in 1968 and got married in the year (1970) to former Miss Florence Imetokpai Apor now Mrs. Florence Edovie, and they were both blessed with children. Baba was later posted to CAC No. 2 Ozoro, from Ozoro Baba was posted to Oghara Iyede and Eboh Iyede.




In 1974, Baba was posted to Irri CAC Headquarters in Isoko South and North Local Government Area, where he became the secretary of Christ Apostolic Church Irri Headquarters and later posted to CAC Emede. He was then later recommended by the church Elders to go for Pastorate ordination course which his set was the 1st set of the Theological seminary Ile-Ife and he was the chapel perfect of the school.




After the course they were ordained as Pastors at Akure Ondo state in 1981. After the ordination, Baba was posted to Ozoro centre, he served there from 1981 to 1984, he was then transferred to CAC Borokiri, Port Harcourt to take over from Pastor G.C. Osuigbo in 1985. Later from Borokiri Baba was transferred to CAC Rumuogba and was also appointed to serve as Chairman CAC Theological Seminary, Enugu during the time of Pastor S.A. Ajuwon (AGS) and he spent 7years in Rivers state.




In 1993 Baba was posted to Lafia in Nasarawa state from there he was promoted as District Superintendent and posted to Isoko in Irri District Headquarters South and North in the year 2000, there he was also promoted as Principal Superintendent later he was promoted as Assistant General Superintendent 1 (AGS 1) and later also promoted as AGS 2 and later DGS/Chairman of Delta State.




From Delta he was posted to Minna Headquarters in Niger state in the year 2004 and there he was given position of the Good Women Coordinator, (Coordinating Abuja, Niger, Kaduna, Nasarawa and Makudi). In 2005, he was later posted back to Isoko and from Isoko to Agbor where he spent 3years as the Zonal Chairman which later became DCC.




From there Baba was promoted to the position of Regional Superintendent of Hanson Region with effect from 1st January 2018 a position he is still holding till date.
