Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide will today hold a senthforth service for the immediate past and retired General Evangelist of the mission, Prophet S.K Abiara.

Speaking about the senthforth service at the just concluded General Council Meeting in Ikeje-Arakeji Osun state, the General Secretary of CAC Worldwide, Pastor E.E Mapur said the service will hold at All Saints’ Chapel, CAC General Secretariat, Anulgbua, Bashorun Ibadan, Oyo state.

Prophet Abiara retired from active service on 31th December, 2017. He was succeeded by Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji.

Prophet Abiara said not too long ago that he is moving into another chapter of evangelism.

He said that he is now General Evangelist for all churches, irrespective of denomination, across the world.

He noted that is doors are open to any church, organisation, whether large or small, and would oblige, without any form of hesitation, to join the people of God to further propagate the gospel of Christ.

"I wrote a letter in April 2017 to the church authority that I would retire in August 2017, because I didn’t want them to be the ones to notify me. It was not as if I was in a hurry to resign, I just wanted to let them know that I was abiding by the rules and regulations of the church and they were very surprised at my decision. I was to vacate the office in August, but they said I should leave officially in December 2017,” the renowned Evangelist noted.

Prophet S. K. Abiara was born on August 8, 1942 at Erinmo-Ijesa, Osun State.  He had his primary education at Saint Peter’s Anglican School, Erinmo-Ijesa between 1949 and 1954.  He attended CAC Theological Seminary, Ile-Ife, Osun State in 1982.  He furthered his theological training at Saint John University Mission, Luciana, USA in 1986 and Internatonal Bible Institute and Seminary, Florida, USA in 1987.

Prophet Abiara was called into the ministry of evangelism in 1963.  Prior to his call, He worked as a Casual Worker for various construction companies within Erinmo-Ijesa between 1953 and 1959; Office Clerk, J. A. Agoro General Merchant, Ibadan in 1959 (who later became a great help to him in his ministerial calling).  As a Clergy, he founded CAC Agbala-Itura (Worldwide) in 1963 and has since founded its branches all over the world.  He founded Christ International Evangelical Ministry (an interdenominational evangelical group) in 1984; Christ International Divinity College (an affiliate of Acadia University, Canada) in 1986 (of which he became its Chancellor).  He rose to the rank of Deputy General Evangelist (DGE) in Christ Apostolic Church (Worldwide) in 1998.

He was appointed the General Evangelist, CAC (Worldwide) in December, 2006.
