Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) has conferred Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide President, Pastor Abraham Akinosun with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration (Honours Causa) with all the rights and privileges attached thereto.
Pastor Akinosun was conferred this degree at the 8th Convocation ceremony of the institution held recently.
The Cleric was also invested with the title of 'Visitor to the University' with all the rights and privileges attached thereto.
JABU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sola Fajana said in his speech that the honorary doctorate degree conferred on Pastor Akinosun symbolizes JABU's recognition of the successes recorded in the honorees various callings and their joy to see him as a worthy leader, and a silent achiever.
The VC prayed that God will continue to give the President good health, strength and wisdom to continue contributing immensely to the development of JABU and also be relevant in the social, administrative and spiritual development of humanity in general.
Speaking after the conferment, Pastor (Dr.) Akinosun appreciated the University for the honour, saying that it is the Lord's doing.
According to him, no one can get anything except from God.
"On behalf of my wife and I, I emphatically say that we will continue to support the University. Now as an alumnus of the institution, I promise to join other alumni to promote the University," he stated.
