The United States Senate and some other dignitaries across the globe came together yesterday to honour the General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Agbala Itura Pastor Abiara as he clocks 75 years.
The event organized by Christ Apostolic Church Agbala Itura, Lagos state was celebrated and graced by well wishers, friends and family of the cleric witnessed a huge turnout who find time to celebrate the clergy man.
The clergy man who has been in God’s ministry for over five decades described his life as a grace of God. He thanked God for giving him another year and sustaining his life and his impact on his ministry.
“It’s him God that has been keeping and sustaining me, without his grace I’m nothing, I pray his grace will always be sufficient for us”.
In a sermon, Prophet Odejobi listed certain attributes from God enjoyed by Prophet Abiara which includes goodness of God, long life, eternity, peace and sound health.
Pastor Ayeni, Secretary of CAC Agbala Itura District in United States also delivered four certificates of honour from United States Senators and other bodies. The Senators described the clergy man as a man of God that invested his life and time in creating opportunities for immigrants to be employed, have decent life style and stable marriage. The Senators also identified Prophet Abiara as noble Man of God that helped immigrants to study and cope with other cultures of others in the United States.
Pastor Ayeni said “Baba is such a man of high value and well respected all around the world. His work is what we came here to celebrate today, he has lived an exemplary life that is worthy of emulation. I pray that God will continue to help and strengthen him particularly in the vineyard’
Pastor in charge, Vineyard of Comfort Assembly (VOCA), Pastor Elijah Abiara who is also a son to the celebrator said he was grateful for the way God had been blessing his father’s ministry.
According to him, it is God’s grace that has kept the ministry of God going till this present moment when our father in the Lord is celebrating 75 years on earth.
“It’s nothing but the grace of God that has been moving Baba forward and I thank God for the grace and opportunity given to us to celebrate yet another birthday of our father.’ I believe God will continue to strengthen and use him more for us and the entire mankind”.
Prophet Abiara was born on 8th of August 1942 to the family of Mr and Mrs Abiara of Erinmo Ijesha, Osun State, he had basic education at Erinmo Ijesha .
