CAC Camp of God’s Women of Destiny celebrate 2026 anniversary, emphasize building a lasting legacy

The Women of Destiny of Christ Apostolic Church, Camp of God, Houston Texas, USA marked their 2026 anniversary with a three-day programme of prayer, learning, business networking, thanksgiving and spiritual renewal, with a strong emphasis on the importance of building a lasting and godly legacy for future generations.

Held under the theme “Building Legacy,” drawn from Matthew 6:20–21, the anniversary brought together women, church leaders, ministers, guests and members of the wider congregation for a series of activities designed to strengthen faith, family values, personal development and community fellowship.

The celebration opened on Friday with a special prayer session, during which members of the Women of Destiny committed the anniversary programme, invited ministers and speakers, families and participants into the hands of God.

The prayer gathering also provided an opportunity for the women to seek spiritual direction and prepare for the activities ahead, with emphasis on unity and collective faith.

The second day, Saturday, featured a seminar focused on the anniversary theme, “Building Legacy.”

Guest speakers addressed various dimensions of legacy building, including biblical principles, culture, family and other areas of life. Participants were encouraged to recognise that the legacy they hope to leave for future generations is shaped by the decisions, values and actions they embrace today.

The day also featured a Business Exhibition, providing an avenue for women and other vendors to showcase their businesses, products and services.

The exhibition encouraged patronage, networking and interaction among participants, while creating an atmosphere for business owners to connect, buy and sell, and strengthen relationships through fellowship.

The anniversary reached its climax on Sunday with a grand finale and Thanksgiving Service.

The service opened with prayer and the hymn “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” from the CAC Hymn Book, led by the Women of Destiny Secretary, Mrs. Funbi Olaniyi.

This was followed by a vibrant praise and worship session led by the Camp of God Choir, creating an atmosphere of celebration and thanksgiving.

The Open Heaven session was led by Deaconess Rita Eboh, after which the Women Leader, Deaconess Margaret Aderounmu, delivered the welcome address, receiving ministers, guests, brethren and other participants to the anniversary celebration.

The Bible reading was led by Deaconess Sharon, while the Women of Destiny presented a special song ministration.

A major highlight of the service was a talk on “Building Legacy” delivered by Mrs. Abiola Adetunji. The session challenged participants to reflect on the values they are passing on and the kind of impact they intend to make on succeeding generations.

The message was further reinforced through a drama presentation which highlighted the responsibility of parents and families to instil godly values in children and deliberately build a positive legacy.

Tithes and offerings were subsequently received, followed by special song ministrations from invited ministers and guests.

The anniversary charge was delivered by the Minister in Charge, Lady Evangelist Catherine Adedipe, who encouraged the women through a message centred on the significance of their faith, values and contributions to the generations that would come after them.

The women thereafter participated in a special Thanksgiving session, dancing and praising God in appreciation of His faithfulness throughout the anniversary and the years preceding it.

A special prayer session for the women was also conducted by Senior Pastor Dr. Moses Adedipe, who prayed for the women, their families, their future and the legacy they are building.

The Women Leader later delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating ministers, guests, members, vendors and everyone whose contributions helped make the three-day anniversary a success.

The celebration concluded with the hymn “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name” from the CAC Hymn Book, followed by the benediction.

The 2026 anniversary ended on a note of gratitude and renewed commitment, with the Women of Destiny reflecting on the central message of the celebration: that a meaningful legacy is built intentionally through faith, values, service, family and the choices made today.
