The
Authority of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, will
on Saturday, June 6, 2026, hold a Retirement and Send-Off Service in
honour of its immediate past Finance Director, Pastor Johnson Folusho
Omitinde.
The retirement thanksgiving and send-off service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at CAC All Saints' Chapel, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Pastor
Omitinde’s retirement marks the conclusion of an exceptional career
spanning more than three decades of dedicated service within Christ
Apostolic Church. Rising through the ranks, he became Finance Director
in 2007 and served with distinction in that capacity until his
retirement on December 31, 2025.
Widely
respected for his integrity, professionalism, and commitment to
excellence, Pastor Omitinde is credited with transforming the Church’s
financial administration from a largely manual system into a modern,
transparent, and efficient accounting framework. Under his leadership,
structured financial units were established, zonal finance offices were
created across Nigeria, computerized accounting systems were introduced,
and accountability mechanisms were strengthened, significantly
enhancing financial governance throughout the denomination.
Born
on July 17, 1951, in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Pastor Omitinde’s life story
is a remarkable testimony of perseverance, diligence, and divine grace.
From humble beginnings marked by financial challenges, he undertook
various clerical jobs to support his education before earning
professional and academic qualifications in accounting, business
analysis, and finance from institutions within and outside Nigeria.
He
was ordained into pastoral ministry in 1995 following his theological
training at the CAC Theological Seminary, Ibadan, thereby combining
professional excellence with devoted spiritual service.
During his tenure as Finance Director, Pastor Omitinde:
· Strengthened financial accountability systems across the Church;
· Expanded finance operations nationwide through the establishment of zonal offices;
· Supervised a growing workforce of more than 77 qualified finance professionals;
· Led the transition to computerized accounting systems; and
· Earned widespread trust for transparent and disciplined financial stewardship.
His
leadership earned him recognition as a stabilizing force during periods
of institutional transition and financial restructuring within the
Church.
Having voluntarily
retired in December 2025—seven months before attaining the Church’s
statutory retirement age of 75—Pastor Omitinde now enters a new phase of
life with plans to devote more time to his family, mentorship,
community service, and continued support for the work of God at the
grassroots level.
The
Retirement and Send-Off Service provides an opportunity for members,
ministers, associates, and well-wishers to celebrate a distinguished
administrator, pastor, and faithful servant whose contributions have
left an enduring impact on the financial and administrative development
of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas.
