The Authority of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, on Sunday, June 21, 2026, inducted Pastor Festus F. Daramola, PhD, as the second Superintendent of CAC Temidire Onajimi Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos, during a colourful and spiritually uplifting ceremony attended by church leaders, ministers, members, and invited guests from across the region.

The induction service, held at the DCC headquarters, was officiated by the Akinyele Regional Superintendent, Pastor Samuel O. Adedayo, who also delivered a sermon titled, “Obey Your Leaders and Submit to Their Authority,” drawn from Hebrews 13:15-17.

In his message, Pastor Adedayo emphasized the importance of godly leadership and obedience within the Christian community. He identified five categories of leaders—civil, government, corporate, family, and Christian community leaders—and explained that leadership is a divine institution ordained by God for the growth and edification of His people.

The Regional Superintendent further highlighted three dimensions of calling: general calling, specific calling, and ministerial calling. He cited biblical examples including the callings of Moses, Samuel, and Jeremiah, stressing that God calls individuals into ministry to equip believers, nurture spiritual growth, and ensure order and obedience within the church.

According to him, the ministerial calling carries the responsibility of shepherding God's people and helping believers attain spiritual maturity in Christ.

Earlier in his welcome address, the DCC Secretary, Pastor S. O. Adesala, described the occasion as a significant milestone in the history of the council. He expressed gratitude to God for providing a successor following the demise of the pioneer DCC Superintendent, Pastor Joshua Ayo Daramola. He also commended the leadership of the Akinyele Region for its support during the transition period.

Pastor Adesala noted that the induction represented more than a ceremonial event, describing it as a divine appointment through which God had prepared both the new Superintendent and the church for a new season of leadership and spiritual advancement. He assured Pastor Daramola of the unwavering support of ministers and members of the DCC, pledging cooperation and commitment to the growth of the church.

Speaking on behalf of the congregation, he welcomed Pastor Daramola and his wife, Mrs. Helen Daramola, with joy and confidence, expressing belief that God had provided a shepherd after His own heart to lead the DCC.

Pastor Daramola brings to the office a rich blend of ministerial, academic, and administrative experience spanning more than four decades. Born on December 31, 1962, in Ode Aye, Ondo State, he began his ministerial journey after receiving theological training at the CAC Theological Seminary, Ile-Ife, before pursuing advanced studies at Lagos State University where he obtained Bachelor's, Master's and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Christian Religious Studies.

Ordained as a pastor in 1995, Dr. Daramola has served the church in several capacities and is currently a member of the CAC National Christian Education Committee. He is also an adjunct lecturer at CAC Theological Seminary, Lagos Campus, and has contributed extensively to academic research with over 20 publications in national and international journals.

Widely respected for his discipline, administrative competence, and passion for Christian education, Pastor Daramola is expected to build on the foundations laid by the pioneer Superintendent while providing strategic leadership for the continued growth of the Temidire Onajimi DCC.

The induction ceremony featured prayers, worship sessions, goodwill messages, and the formal presentation of the new Superintendent to the congregation. Church members expressed optimism that his wealth of experience and commitment to sound biblical teaching would usher the DCC into a new era of spiritual development and greater service to God.

The event concluded with prayers for the success of Pastor Daramola's administration and for continued peace, unity, and progress within the Christ Apostolic Church.
