Relative of the erstwhile General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Late Pastor Abraham Olutimehin, and Associate Pastor, Christ Apostolic Church Oke Ibukun Ade-Olutimehin District Headquarters, Pastor Sunday Olutimehin, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, marked his 70th birthday with a thanksgiving service reflecting a life widely regarded for its enduring impact across church and community.
The service, held at Christ Apostolic Church Oke Ibukun Ade-Olutimehin District Headquarters, drew family members, friends, church leaders, and residents of the Itele community, many of whom paid glowing tributes to the celebrant’s legacy of humility, sacrifice, and influence.
Speaking during the exhortation, Pastor Remi Adeyemi, Minister-in-Charge of Christ Apostolic Church Living Sanctuary, represented the Regional Superintendent, Essien Region, Pastor Olu Eyebiokin.
Drawing from Psalm 103 line 5, he emphasized the theme of renewed strength and legacy.
Referencing the biblical account of Caleb’s enduring vigor after 45 years in Joshua 14, Pastor Adeyemi noted that Pastor Olutimehin, even at 70, remains sharp, strong, and agile.
He, however, explained that divine renewal is not only physical but also extends to the ability to reproduce one’s virtues in the next generation.
Pastor Adeyemi then encouraged the celebrant to ensure that his God-given virtues are replicated in the coming generation.
“We should be able to point to people and say they are products of Olutimehin because his signature is upon them,” he noted.
He urged parents and leaders to intentionally pass down Godly values, stressing that true legacy lies in raising successors who will continue impactful works.
"If there is anything you can do for this generation, replicate those things in the life of those following you, so that when you are gone, they can continue," he stressed.
He added that believers must consciously remove negative traits and cultivate virtues worthy of replication.
The service also featured song ministrations and presentations, as attendees offered praises to God for the life and influence of the celebrant.
In his remarks, Pastor Olutimehin expressed profound gratitude to God for His faithfulness over the years. He also appreciated the leadership of the Christ Apostolic Church, particularly the President, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, for the consistent support, as well as all who gathered to celebrate with him.
The thanksgiving service ended on a note of joy and reflection, as attendees described the celebration not merely as one of age, but of a life devoted to service and lasting impact.
The celebration continued with a reception service at the Palace Hall of the Moyegeso of Ijebu-Itele Kingdom, where guests enjoyed a warm atmosphere of feasting and joyful interactions in honour of the celebrant.
