Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS), Ile-Ife, on Friday, October 17, 2025, inaugurated its Ilorin Study Centre at CAC Oke-Isegun, Taiwo Isale, Ilorin District Coordinating Council (DCC) Headquarters, Kwara State, marking a major milestone in its mission to expand theological education and ministerial training across Nigeria.
The event, attended by top church leaders, ministers, and prospective students, was filled with joy and thanksgiving as the long-anticipated dream of establishing a study centre in Ilorin became a reality.
The Registrar of the Seminary, Pastor Lawrence Biola Akinyosoye, in his welcome address, expressed gratitude to God for the successful realization of the project. He warmly received all dignitaries and participants who gathered to witness what he described as “a new dawn in theological education within the Ilorin axis.”
Following the national anthem and opening hymn led by the Liaison Officer, Pastor Arowosegbe Samuel, the Host Minister and Ilorin DCC Superintendent, Evangelist E.T. Akeredolu, welcomed all guests and appreciated the leadership of CACTS for bringing quality ministerial training closer to the people of Kwara State and the Babajide Region.
Representing the Regional Superintendent, Pastor S.O. Owolabi, the Regional Secretary and Sabo-Oke DCC Superintendent, Pastor Oloruntoba M.K., commended the Seminary for its foresight and commitment to ministerial excellence. He urged the new centre to uphold the Seminary’s core values of holiness, integrity, and sound doctrine.
In his remarks, the Director of Study Centres, Pastor Solomon Olowokere, PhD, thanked the Seminary’s leadership for the confidence reposed in him and pledged his dedication to the efficient administration of the new centre. He assured that the Ilorin Study Centre would foster academic excellence and spiritual growth while producing well-trained ministers for the Christ Apostolic Church in Nigeria and beyond.
Delivering his address, the Provost of CACTS, Pastor Francis Ayo Olaniyi, PhD, highlighted the Seminary’s vision to raise Spirit-filled and theologically grounded ministers of the gospel. He described the new study centre as part of CACTS’ strategic expansion plan to make theological education more accessible nationwide.
According to him, “Theological soundness is the backbone of sustainable ministry. Our goal is to ensure that every minister of the Christ Apostolic Church is properly equipped to rightly divide the Word of truth and serve effectively in God’s vineyard.”
The inauguration ceremony was officially conducted by the representative of the Regional Superintendent, amid songs of praise and joyful celebration.
The newly established Ilorin Study Centre will offer programs including Certificate in Theology, Diploma in Theology, and Bachelor of Theology. The centre aims to serve as a hub for ministerial training and spiritual development within the Christ Apostolic Church.
The event was graced by several DCC and Zonal Superintendents, ministers, and potential lecturers, with about 22 prospective students indicating their readiness to enroll immediately.
In his closing remarks, the Superintendent of Ilorin DCC, Evangelist T.A. Akeredolu expressed deep appreciation to the leadership of CACTS, the Babajide Regional authority, and all attendees for their support and cooperation. He noted that the establishment of the Ilorin Study Centre would strengthen the church’s ministerial base and enhance spiritual capacity in the region.
The inauguration of the CACTS Ilorin Study Centre stands as a testimony to divine faithfulness and visionary leadership. It marks the beginning of a new chapter in the advancement of theological education and the raising of Word-based, Spirit-filled ministers for end-time harvest.
