The service had in attendance the President of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, his wife, Mrs. Susanna Kehinde Oladele, General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji, General Secretary, and Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur and his wife, Mrs. Fidelia Mapur.  Their presence added colour and weight to the significant occasion.

The Superintendent of Medaiyese Region, Pastor Gabriel Aboderin, who administered the inauguration and induction rites, expressed deep gratitude to God for the life and impact of Pastor Prof. Adegbulugbe, describing him as a strong pillar in the church.

In his message titled “Christian Leaders Are Servants” (Text: Mark 10:35–45), the President of CAC, Pastor Oladele delivered a profound and challenging sermon that emphasized the biblical model of leadership.

Drawing attention to the contrast between worldly ideals and Christian values, he stated, “the world despises servanthood, but the Bible calls us to renew our minds and think differently.”

“Some find the term servanthood nauseating because we've strayed from the biblical standard. Sadly, the ‘celebrity mentality’ has crept into the church,” he said.

Pastor Oladele also referenced the humility of the new Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Owoade, who once served as a sanctuary keeper in his local church, one of the Assemblies of Christ Apostolic Church, Vineyard of Comfort, Winnipeg, Canada—cleaning the church premises and arranging chairs faithfully.

He emphasized the value of teamwork in leadership, likening it to a football team where no goal is scored in isolation, and everyone plays a role in the victory.

He reminded the congregation that Jesus, the ultimate model of leadership, displayed humility by attending a village wedding in Cana and by taking children into His arms.

“We are not called to lead for applause, but to serve in humility. Servanthood is the true hallmark of Christ,” Pastor Oladele concluded

It is noteworthy that Pastor Prof. Adegbulugbe also serves as the Chancellor of Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), Ikeji-Arakeji.

In honour of his induction, members of the JABU Governing Council and Management Team graced the occasion. Notable among them were *Prof. Joash Amupitan (SAN), Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council; Prof. Elder O.A. Fakolujo, Vice Chancellor; as well as the University Deputy Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Bursar, and other key officials.

The event also featured prayers, hymns, the reading of Pastor Adegbulugbe’s citation, a powerful time of thanksgiving, and a vote of thanks by the newly inducted DCC Superintendent.

It was indeed a day of spiritual upliftment and a call back to the heart of Christian leadership—service.
