The President of Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, has told Pastors to quit trying to be like anyone, rather to strongly desire for the breath of the Holy Spirit for the work of ministry.
Pastor Oladele made these declarations yesterday while giving his Farewell Speech at Christ Apostolic Church Pastors' Conference 2024 held at Babalola International Memorial and Miracle Camp, Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State.
The cleric told CAC Pastors, "God did not say He will duplicate another Babalola in me. You are you. I am me. There is nobody like you."
"We don't have to be like anyone. We don't have to do it like anyone. All we need is the life of the Holy Spirit and the breathe of the Spirit in us," he continued.
In his address at the conference which began on Tuesday September 24, 2024, Pastor Oladele charged that "Don't just claim ministry titles. Do Something. You are you. Nobody is like you. You can survive anything with the life of Christ in you."
Historizing what led to the Council of Nicea in 325 AD and the outcome, the President asserted that "whenever we gather like this, it must be for a purpose. It is not for fun. Our coming together should result to such outcome like that of the gathering of the Bishops in Nicea" being the Nicene Creed guiding today's Apostolic faith.
He also stressed that "the Holy Spirit is not about lipservice but actions. For some people, it is only a mental acceptance and not reflected in their conduct."
Expositing the event of Acts Chapter 2, the CAC number one cleric said the “rush of mighty wind” symbolizes life, adding that the number one need of man is life/breathe.
"Let none of us be discouraged when you are posted to places that seem dry. We must make things happen. Learn to make things happen. Don't complain, prophesy life," he said.
He also mentioned that "we need the wind of the Holy Spirit in our churches today; it will bring life to our prayers, witnesses, worship and song."
Pastor Oladele concluded by leading the ministers to pray to be filled as they return to their local assemblies to fill their congregation.
